Design-Thinking with Kids

I teach design-thinking projects to children ranging from age 5-18. In the process of learning design-thinking, I also teach the programming tool that is necessary to complete their project. By the end of their course, they will 1) understand and implement the design-thinking stages, 2) the basics to the programming language (e.g., Microbit, Python, Arduino) and 3) the programming of sensors, and 4) the building of the physical prototype.

As a lead at Women Who Code Taipei, I also conducted a workshop to teach kids about input controller devices and coding in Scratch. In this workshop, the kids were making an interactive piano.

Basics to Programming and Design-Thinking for Teens & Adults

(R, Python, P5.js, Arduino, Processing)

Key difference of my approach in teaching teens and adults, compared to teaching kids, is the practical application towards their goal.
